Polo got introduced in Leh Ladakh during the rule of King Singge Namgyal in the 17th century AD.

Archery in Leh

Ice Hockey in Leh

Apart from watching snow fall you can also enjoy playing ice hockey and participate in the various ice hockey tournaments. Ice Hockey got introduced in Leh Ladakh during 70s by the Indian Army. During winter Ice hockey tournaments are organized by Ladakh Winter Sports Club. The tournament is held in one of the highest hockey rinks of the world, Karzoo Ice Hockey rink.
