Bus services joining Leh and different parts of Jammu & Kashmir are run by Jammu & Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation or JKSRTC. Bus services are available on Srinagar-Leh Highway with overnight stop at Drass or Kargil. The ticket price is about Rs. 1000.
Manali-Leh bus services are available from different private bus operators. The bus services with or without overnight stop are available. Direct buses are there between Leh and Delhi and the in between stops are at Keylong and Manali.
Reach Leh by TruckTrucks are used for traveling between Manali and Leh. The journey may not be comfortable but it is definitely a cheaper one. You will have to pay around Rs. 500 to the truck drivers to reach Leh from Manali. It is advisable to look for a truck that is carrying less numbers of passengers.
Reach Leh by BikesFor the bikers, the road between Manali and Leh is like a paradise. Travelers can use their own bikes or get bikes on hire to travel between Manali and Leh. The bike tour between Leh and Manali is generally a three day tour. On day 1 the travelers start from Manali and reach Jispa ; on day 2nd they start from Jispa and reach Pang; on day 3 they travel from Pang to Leh. Reach Leh by AirLeh can be reached by air as regular flights are available from Delhi, Jammu and Srinagar. The flights are available throughout the year. During winter months, one can reach Leh only through flights.

Reach Leh by TrainLeh has no railroad. The nearest railway stations to Leh are Chandigarh and Pathankot. Another station Udhampur is also connected to Leh. A railway line from Bilaspur to Leh connecting Mandi has already been proposed.

To visit this valley or lake, you have to seek inner line permit from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
